These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of the QR114 Salaam Stream Device, subscription to our services, and access to our website qr114.com, operated by RAOSS HK COMPANY LIMITED. By placing an order, activating a Device, or subscribing to our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General Terms and Eligibility
By placing an order, activating a Device, or subscribing to our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in addition to our User Agreement, License Agreement, and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not purchase or use our products.
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to purchase the Device or enter into a subscription agreement. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Product Orders, Pricing, and Payment
2.1 Currency and Pricing
All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices for the Device and accessories do not include shipping, handling fees, insurance, or applicable taxes, which will be calculated at checkout based on your delivery location.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time; however, changes will not affect orders already accepted.
2.2 Subscription Plans
The QR114 Salaam Stream requires an active subscription for full functionality. We offer the following subscription options:
- Monthly Plan — Yearly Contract: $1.00 USD per month, per Device. This plan requires a minimum 12-month commitment. Early cancellation before the 12-month period expires may result in early termination fees.
- Monthly Plan — Cancel Any Time: $3.00 USD per month, per Device. This plan offers maximum flexibility with no long-term commitment. You may cancel at any time with 24 hours notice before the next billing date.
- Annual Plan: $6.00 USD per year, per Device (equivalent to $0.50/month). This plan offers the best value with a one-time annual payment. The subscription automatically renews annually unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
2.3 Payment Methods
We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other region-specific payment methods as indicated at checkout. All payments are processed by secure third-party payment processors.
2.4 Billing and Renewal
Monthly Plans: Both Monthly Plan options are billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. For the Yearly Contract plan, you commit to 12 consecutive monthly payments.
Annual Plan: Billed once per year on the subscription anniversary date. Automatically renews for successive one-year periods unless cancelled.
Failed Payments: If payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method for up to 7 days. If payment is not received, your subscription will be suspended.
2.5 Cancellation and Refunds
Monthly Plan — Cancel Any Time: You may cancel at any time through your account settings. No partial refunds are provided for partial months.
Monthly Plan — Yearly Contract: You may cancel after the initial 12-month commitment period with 24 hours notice. Early cancellation within the 12-month period does not relieve you of the obligation to pay for the remaining months.
Annual Plan: You may cancel at any time, but no prorated refunds will be issued for partial years except where required by law.
Free Trial: New registrations receive a 30-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically enrolled in the Annual Plan ($6.00/year) unless you select a different plan before the trial expires.
3. Shipping, Delivery, and Import Duties
3.1 Shipping Policy
We ship Devices to most international locations. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times (typically 5–15 business days depending on destination) are displayed at checkout. Risk of loss and title for items purchased pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
3.2 Customs, Duties, and Taxes
International Orders: You are responsible for all import duties, customs fees, brokerage fees, and taxes imposed by your country. We declare the actual value of the Device on customs forms. We cannot mark items as “gifts” or declare lower values to avoid customs duties.
3.3 Restricted Countries
We do not ship to countries subject to international sanctions or trade embargoes, including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
4. Returns, Warranty, and Consumer Rights
4.1 Return Policy
We accept returns of unopened Devices within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs and import duties). To be eligible for a return:
- The Device must be in original, unopened packaging
- You must provide proof of purchase
- You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from customer support before shipping
4.2 EU and UK Consumer Rights (14-Day Withdrawal)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason (“Cooling-Off Period”).
4.3 Limited Warranty
We warrant that the QR114 Device will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
This warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects in the Device housing, solar panel, and electronic components
- Speaker malfunction under normal operating conditions
- Bluetooth connectivity module failures
This warranty does NOT cover damage caused by improper battery installation, normal wear and tear, damage from submersion, extreme temperatures, or physical abuse.
5. Device Registration and Activation
To use the smart features of the QR114 Device, you must register for an account via the mobile Application, provide a valid email address, enter the unique Serial Number, and purchase and maintain an active subscription.
Each Serial Number may only be registered to one account at a time. We reserve the right to suspend accounts using fraudulent or stolen Serial Numbers.
6. Acceptable Use of Hardware
You agree to use the Device in accordance with all applicable laws and the User Manual. Specifically:
- Do not attempt to modify the Device hardware, battery compartment, or solar panel
- Do not use batteries other than the specified 18650 Li-ion type (3.7V, 2200mAh)
- Install only in locations suitable for outdoor electrical devices (IPX5 rated)
- Do not block ventilation or speaker grilles
- Ensure secure mounting using the provided anchor kit to prevent injury from falling units
- Comply with local noise ordinances and outdoor audio regulations (use Sound Pollution Mode where required)
7. Content and Service Availability
The QR114 provides access to Quranic recitations, translations, and Azan melodies. While we strive for 24/7 availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Prayer Time Calculation: Prayer times are calculated mathematically based on geographic coordinates and selected calculation methods. We recommend verification with local religious authorities, particularly in high-latitude regions where twilight calculations vary significantly.
Content Licensing: Audio content availability may vary by country due to copyright and licensing restrictions.
8. Intellectual Property
You acknowledge that the Quranic audio content is either public domain or licensed to us, and you acquire no ownership rights to this content. You may not record, download, or redistribute audio content from the Device or Application.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE DEVICE OR SERVICES.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Device or 12 months of subscription fees, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RAOSS HK COMPANY LIMITED, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Device.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1 General Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11.2 Consumer Protection Overrides
If you are a consumer, mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence may apply, particularly regarding:
- EU/EEA/UK: You benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws. Disputes may be brought in the courts of your residence.
- Australia: You have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
- Canada: Provincial consumer protection laws may apply in addition to these Terms.
11.3 Alternative Dispute Resolution
EU Online Dispute Resolution: If you are an EU consumer, you may submit complaints to the EU Online Dispute Resolution Platform.
Informal Resolution: Before initiating any legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting admin@raoss.com within 30 days of the issue arising.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes affecting subscription pricing, warranty terms, or consumer rights, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email or app notification.
13. Language and Translation
These Terms are concluded in English. Where translations are provided for convenience in other languages (Arabic, Urdu, Tamil, etc.), the English version shall prevail in case of any conflict or ambiguity.
